The EMCO Home Water System uses a combination of Activated Carbon Filtration (GAC) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) to achieve purity. The Carbon Filter removes residual free chlorine, trihalomethanes, and low molecular weight organic compounds. The RO element removes in excess of 90% of all inorganic salts, 99% of organic compounds with a molecular weight greater than 200 Daltons, and 99% of all bacteria, viruses and pyrogens.
